In the Crowne Plaza Hotel, 1015 Elm St; Downtown; 214.742.5678

Flexible architecture can maximize a facility's ability to deliver, as with the new Cowboys Stadium, which can accommodate everything from UT-UNC hoops, to McCartney, to something even harder-rocking than McCartney -- Frisbee dog expositions! Maximizing their adjoining spaces, Ten15 Elm and Thrive, both opening Friday.

In the Crowne Plaza, Ten15 and Thrive -- a resto and bar, respectively -- are partially separate operations conjoined by a granite-topped 360-degree bar and LED-lit glass walls that'll retract late at night, allowing for cross-pollination between the red velvet-, dark wood-, etched glass-happy eatery and Thrive's glistening white-black dance floor, copper-bathed walls, French vinyl ceiling, studio-grade sound system, and swank brass-railed booths equipped with safes for storing lengths of brass railing you miraculously wrestled free.

The resto'll serve hotel-apropos breakfast/lunch fare, plus a "New International American" dinner menu running from "Cocotel Tiros" seafood shooters to bleu cheese "Hamburguesas Azul" -- which, unlike "Hamburguesas Zuul", haven't been sitting in the refrigerator forever. Open at 9p Wed/Fri/Sat/Sun, the dress-coded Thrive offers up low-for-a-lounge bottle service (~$150) and relatively cheap beer ($5 domestics/$6 imports), plus tbd signature cocktails that'll honor guest bartenders of varying degrees of celebrity, mostly in the form of martinis or pre-metered/mixed recipes shot straight out of soda guns, freeing up the bartender to make you another drink shot straight out of a soda gun.

Friday's RSVP-required opening party'll be attended by Pussycat Doll Kaya Jones as well as an array of reality-show gold: 6 Gauge from Daisy of Love, and Corrie & Desi from Paris Hilton's My New BFF, starring, um, Paris Hilton -- whose own architecture displayed a disappointing lack of flexibility, and a disturbing willingness to take phone calls.

If you are not going to call and RSVP, be sure to get there this weekend...
